This product has been designed and handcrafted in Italy for Fabriano. We chose an innovative and environmentally friendly material, a special kind of synthetic leather called “Appleskin”. 50% of this fabric is made out of waste from industrial apple processing in Trentino Alto Adige, whilst the other 50% is made out of PU, resulting in a top-quality recycled material. This product is 100% cruelty-free. We recommend using a damp cloth to keep this product clean. Do not soak this product in water.

IMPREGNATED PAPER Made up of 80% cellulose and 20% latex, this impregnated paper is manufactured and patented in Italy. Cellulose is a pulp that is extracted from plant cells. It has always been the main ingredient in the production of most types of paper. This impregnated paper is special with technical features including resistance, light weight and soft texture. It is ideal for the creation of products for daily use. It is also water resistant but not waterproof. FAUX LEATHER Product details are finished with faux leather from Trentino Alto Adige, produced using 50% of discards from the industrial processing of apples.

CORK Cork is a natural material that is obtained from the bark of the Cork Oak, a tree that only grows in certain regions, such as Sardinia and Portugal, which feature the typical Mediterranean climate. The tree is not cut down. Instead, the bark is slit to only penetrate into the surface layers that grow back again completely every 8-10 years. The cork chosen by us is cut and transformed into thin sheets that are glued onto a textile base with water-base glue to enhance the material’s resistance and facilitate processing. For this collection, we have chosen an innovative, environmentally friendly material made with Wood, produced and patented in Italy. Selected woods are FSC® certified, this means coming from correctly and socially responsibly managed forests. Moreover, thanks to an agreement with Tree-Nation we replant 350% more than we consume. The material is actually made of thin carved wooden sheets with micro laser engravings, coupled to a tissue with the usage of water-based adhesives. The result is a soft material, almost like leather.
